Jolene Hendrix Shealy

Services for Jolene Hendrix Shealy, 71, will be conducted 4:00 p.m., Thursday at Faith Lutheran Church with the Rev. Mitch Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the committal service from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church Building Fund, 113 North Oak St. B-L, SC 29006.
Mrs. Shealy passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010. Born in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late Silas Leroy and Margaret Lazelle Miller Hendrix. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and retired from the B-L Primary School Cafeteria as a Cashier.
Surviving are her husband, Donald O. "Donnie" Shealy; son, Rocky Yates Shealy of the home; daughters, Donice Jo (Ricky) Frick, Sharon Hope (Donald) Wheeler, Deirdre Leigh "DeeDee" (Paul) Swygert, all of Leesville; brothers, Aubrey (Meade) Hendrix of Saluda, Adrian Hendrix of Lexington, Kent Hendrix of Due West; sisters, June (Robert) Mabus of New Bern, NC, Darlene (Thurmond) Matthews of Leesville; grandchildren, Shanna (Rhett) Watson, Eric Blake (Jennifer) Shealy (grandchild raised in the home), Jarrod O. Frick, Ryan P. Swygert, Jacalyn A. Wheeler, and Chase R. Swygert; great-grandchildren, Reid E. Watson, E. Jackson Shealy, and Graham B. Watson; brothers-in-law, Baxter (Sara) Shealy of Prosperity, Rolland (Virginia) Shealy, Dial (Faye) Shealy, and Jerry (Joanne) Shealy, all of Leesville; sisters-in-law, Wilma Raye Covington of Leesville, Adrienne "Dean" Price of Gilbert, Madelyn (Robert) Amick of Leesville, Yevonne (William) Gibson of Saluda, and Patty (Bob) Garrison of Leesville; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
