J. Wyman Smith

Services for James Wyman Smith, 85, will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Pond Branch United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the church.  Memorials may be made to Pond Branch UMC.  Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel is assisting the family.

  Mr. Smith passed away Thursday June 8, 2017 at his home.  Born in Lexington County, he was a son of the late Elzie Jason and Estelle Lizzie Roof Smith.  He was a member of Pond Branch UMC and retired from Ed Smith Lumber Mill.

  Survivors include his wife, Margaret Clamp Smith, daughter, Rita (Dennis, Jr.) Day, brother, Theron Smith, sister, Laura Ann Hall, grandchildren, Cody, Dylan and Samantha Day and many nieces and nephews.

  He was predeceased by a daughter, Carolyn Marlene Smith, brothers, Edward and Morris Smith.
