My sincere condolences to the Baird family on the loss of your dear loved one. Death can bring so much tears and pain but may your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of times spent together and have comfort in God's promise found at Acts 24:15. Wow, what a great guy we have lost. Buddy was my Sunday School teacher when I was in High School. Not all teenagers look forward to Sunday School, but we sure did. He taught me so much about life that nobody else could. Heaven just gained a good man.

I wanted to reach out to you during this sad time to offer my condolences. While nothing will completely take away your grief, by meditating on God's promises found in the Bible, you can find real hope and the strength to keep going. I have found the scripture at Isaiah 25:8 to be especially comforting. Here it promises that God "will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces."

Please know how sorry I am for your loss. When I started working for St. John's Buddy was one of the first church members I met. He always had a hug, smile, and a "let me tell you something" story. :) I dearly love the Baird family and will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

A true legend has gone to be with our Father who art in heaven. No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind conceived, what God has prepared to those who love him; and Buddy is surely looking down on us, probably wearing a UGA shirt, telling the stories that we all loved to here him tell. He will surely be missed. May the families' tears and sadness be soon replaced with the memories of a great man, great father, and great husband that may bring peace and happiness to your heart. With deepest of sympathy, Rob

I'm very sorry for your loss. May the God of all Comfort be with you and your family during this most difficult time. Almighty God promises to soon rid the earth of all sickness and death by means of an earthly resurrection (John 5:28,29; Rev. 21:4).
