When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. . Ecclesiastes 9:5,6,10 tells us, “ . the dead “are conscious of nothing at all. . . . Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished.” . . neither do they anymore have wages, . . . there is no work nor devising nor knowledge” in the grave where the dead go.” What then is the Bible promise for them? Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Jesus promised in John 5:28: "... all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out ". Jesus was referring to the resurrection; this is our hope that helps us recover and gives us power to go on. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

Please accept my condolences during this time of distress. While it is indeed sad that you are mourning the loss of your dear Ralf, it saddens God more. In the days ahead, you will reflect on seemingly small, yet precious memories. This is occurs especially when we experience the loss of someone loved. However, take confidence in knowing that just as you have memories, almighty God remembers too. The difference is, God can and will restore perfect life to those in His memory as explained in the faith strengthening video link below**

I worked for CSM Heimbecker in Kaiserslautern Germany from 1969 to 1971. He was a fine man. I regret never visiting him in Augusta. Rest in peace.
