Laird Keith Birchfield, age 66, of Lexington, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 13 2017.
Known to his family and friends as Larry, he proudly served his country as a US Marine and a Army National Guardsman.
Larry had a deep love for his wife, Linda and his family. He is survived by his son Arthur
Todd (wife Deniece); daughters, Lisa Deschner (husband Paul) and Teresa Tackett, both of Mansfield, Ohio; Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Karen Sue Young Birchfield and both parents.
Larry was a Mason with Cayce Lodge 384, a member of the Valley of Columbia Scottish Rite, and a Shriner at Jamil Temple where he enjoyed serving as a clown with the Jamil Jokers. He always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips.
He enjoyed fishing on Lake Murray, karaoke and the outdoors. Most precious were the times spent with family and close friends.
Services will be held Monday, October 16, at 7:00 pm at Barr-Price Funeral Home in Lexington, SC. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mansfield, Ohio at Mansfield Memorial Park.
