Donna Cowsert Roof

Funeral services for Donna Cowsert Roof, 53, daughter of Ms. Connie Eidson (Pat Johnson) of Teachey, NC and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Cowsert of Lexington, will be held on Saturday, January 20th at 1:00 pm at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 1273 Calks Ferry Road, Lexington, with the Reverend Bob Helton presiding.  Visitation will be held for family and friends at Barr-Price Funeral Home, 609 Northwood Rd, Lexington, on Friday, January 19th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. 

 Donna was born in Wilmington, NC on April 18, 1964, moved to Lexington in 1978, was a graduate of Lexington High School in 1982. She attended Midlands Technical College, and was a 16 year veteran of the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, having held many positions in order to serve her community.  Donna is survived by her husband, Edwin Roof of Lexington, her four children, Garrett Roof (Paige) of Lexington, Lauren Roof of Lexington, Allison Roof of Rock Hill, Quinton Roof of Lexington, six grandchildren, one brother, Jason Holland of North Carolina, sisters, Julie Shuler of Columbia, Kitty Cowsert of Columbia, Martie Streit (Andrew) of Mt. Pleasant, Mandi Cowsert of Charleston, Katrina Tallent of Laurens, Donelia Jefferson (Ricky) of Gray Court, Lisa Martin (Marc) of Weaverville, Amy Storrs(Mike) of Cheboygan, MI, Katie Shelby of Lexington, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Donna loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, taking trips to the beach and the mountains, and various hobbies including shopping and socializing with her numerous friends.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Liver Foundation.
