Charles Thomas Cain

 Charles Thomas Cain passed away Sunday August 20, 2017 surrounded by his family and friends. He was born to the late Walter and Elsie Cain of Winchester, VA. Charles enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after High School. He served a distinguished and honorable 31 years. Charles personified the trinity of the Marines - God, Honor and Family.

He met the love of his life, Evelyn and they were very happily married for 63 years.  Their marriage was a true partnership where they believed in something bigger than themselves and gave without asking anything in return. Evelyn predeceased Charles, but was so very proud to stand beside him because of the husband and father he was.

 Charles was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather and is survived by four children - Charles, Debbie, Teresa and Marcia, three grandchildren - Joshua, Joni and Ben and three great-grandchildren - Curtis, Mallory and Allie.  He was predeceased by his dear grandson Jonathan.

 A memorial service will be held Monday August 28, 2017 at 11:00 am at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church. 5503. Sunset Blvd. Lexington, SC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice, any Veteran's Organization or Saxe Gotha Church.
