Wilmon Ronald “Ronnie” Hutto Sr., passed away peacefully to be with the lord on November 26, 2022. He was surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services for Ronnie will be held at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church in West Columbia, S.C. on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 3:00pm. Bishop Ginny Aebischer, Pastor Russ Stilwell and Pastor Wade Roof will officiate. The family will greet friends and family in the fellowship hall from 1:30pm to 2:45pm before the service. Pallbearers will be Paul Hutto, Wolfgang Kleber, Aaron Gillis, Fred Vallejo, Freddie Vallejo, and Randy Klapman. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Henry J. Marion, Dr. Michael J. White, Clyde Nelson and Antonio Alvarez-De Rosas. Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church. Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
Ronnie served his country in the South Carolina Air National Guard and was deployed to Chaumont, France during the Berlin Crisis in 1961. Ronnie worked for Seibels Bruce Insurance Company before making a career move to Colite Industries where he served as Plant Manager and later as Corporate Vice President before starting his own business, Patron Enterprises, in 1972.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Patsy Cooper Hutto; his sons, Wilmon Ronald Hutto, Jr. (Kellie) and Paul Christian Hutto (Brennen); special grand/daughter, Sarah Veronica Hutto, special granddaughter, Emily Addison Hutto, precious grandson, Heath Christian Hutto, as well as many special nieces and nephews. We would like to thank Carol Florence for her tremendous love and support throughout his illness.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie was predeceased by his precious son, Kevin Brian Hutto; his brother, Wilmon Lynol Hutto, Jr. (Sandra); and sister, Mary Hutto Harmon (Frank).
Ronnie was a devout and devoted Christian and lifelong member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church where he was active serving on Church council, Youth Committee, Fellowship and Recreation Committee, Stewardship Committee and an active member of The New Seekers Sunday School Class.
