Willie W. Harley

Graveside services for Willie Wallace Harley, 89, will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Ridge Crest Memorial Park with Rev. Robert Culbertson officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to John Harley Newell Scholarship, at Newberry College, 2100 College St. Newberry, SC 29108 or the Batesburg-Leesville Fire Department. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Harley passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025. Born in Barnwell County, he was the son of the late Clyde Bennie and Kathleen Long Harley, and retired from DuPont Savannah River Site.

Surviving are his wife of almost 71 years, Patricia S Harley; daughter, Kathie and Mike Newell; son, Barry and Lisa Harley; Grandchildren, Paul and Sarah Newell, Will and Marie Newell and Grayson and Cole Norwood; Great-grandchildren, Ford, Garland, and Maggie Newell, Barrett Newell and Wake Norwood. He was predeceased by a grandson, John Harley Newell who lives in heaven.
