Willie "Bill" Farr

On October 5, 2019, Willie “Bill” Farr of West Columbia died at that age of 86. Bill was born to Cecil B. and Lola Farr in 1932. On July 21st, 1953 he married Janelle Lindler and they were married for 66 years. Together they raised 4 children.

Bill served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army for 8 years before he retired with an Honorable Discharge. He was owner and operator of Bill’s Wholesale and Retail Motors in West Columbia, SC for over 50 years.

Bill loved spending time with his family. Fishing, sporting events, going to the mountains and family gatherings during holiday times were his joy. He loved the Lord and his Church family.

He is survived by his wife, Janelle, his 4 children Debbie (Don), Steve (Julie), Carey (Jeannette), April (Elaine), 9 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm Tuesday October 8, at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 1:00pm Wednesday October 9, at Westside First Church of God with burial to follow at Celestial Memorial Gardens.
