William "Billy" Scircle

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of  William “Billy” Scircle, who went to be with his Savior on May 2nd, 2025. He was born in Sumter, South Carolina on November 19th, 1942 to C.S. and Gerselda Scircle. He grew up in Lexington, South Carolina and graduated from Lexington High School Class of 1962. Following graduation, he served his country in the Navy. He and his beloved wife, Janice Scircle, were the proud owners for many years of Independent Water Works in Lexington, South Carolina.

He is survived by his dearly loved wife of sixty years, Janice Shuler Scircle; brother, Charles Scircle (Dolly); sisters, Judy Post, Carolyn Rightsell (Bob), and Virgie Summers (Bob); daughter, Sonia Scircle Bodie (Brent); son, Rhett Scircle; grandchildren, Dan Durham (Rebekah), Haley Durham Williams (Nathan), Dustin Durham (Hannah), Noah Bodie, Morgan Scircle; and his newest little gift, great granddaughter, Maisie Durham.

“Billy” was predeceased by his parents, Scott and Greselda Scircle; and brother, Scotty Scircle.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 5th, 2025, at Red Bank Baptist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
