William "Bill" E. Emerson

In loving memory of our father, William “Bill” E. Emerson, laid down his working tools on Monday, January 16, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. He was the devoted husband of, Mary F. Emerson; and the loving father of, RD Emerson, RG Emerson & B Mathews; 10 grandchildren; and countless friends and family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mary F. Emerson.

One of the kindest souls on this planet, our father was a gentle, giving man who worked tirelessly to ensure his family had everything they needed. He faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage.

Early in life, our father learned the importance of hard work and instilled that same work ethic in us. He was a man of strong faith and taught us the importance of family, hard work, and doing what is right.

Our father was a true role model to whom we will always look up.

Father, you are now at peace with your bride, but you will live forever in our hearts. We love you so much!

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 6pm Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. The family requests that no donations or flowers be sent.
