WILLIAM THOMAS KIDD
Saluda - William Thomas "Billy" Kidd, 58, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 3, 2023. He was born September 20, 1964 in Tennessee, to Kenneth Wesley Kidd and Elma Jean Padget.

He had a long-time career in the manufacturing business and also helped out at the Saluda Standard-Sentinel for many years. He was a fan of the Carolina Gamecocks and NASCAR.

Surviving are his children, Megan (Ashlee) Bledsoe of Saluda and Joel (Katie) Bradley of Harlem, Georgia, Joshua Bradley and Justin Bradley; grandchildren, Chase Bradley, Wyatt Bledsoe, Emory Bradley and Mabel Bledsoe; siblings, Buddy Kidd, Robin Bledsoe, Tamela Terrell, and Chuck (Kelly) Padget; his grandmother, Edith Padget; and his former wife and best friend, Jackie Jones Kidd.

He was predeceased by his father, Kenneth W. Kidd; his mother and stepfather, Jim and Jean Padget; and his sister, Gigi Tapp.

He was a beloved father, granddaddy, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was the best granddaddy in the world and loved his grandchildren dearly.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 8, 3:00 p.m, at Pine Pleasant Baptist Church, 457 Pine Pleasant Church Rd, Saluda, SC 29138. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
