Wayne Sheppard

Memorial services for Drayton  Wayne  Sheppard, 78, will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Batesburg with Rev. Henry Stamper officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Batesburg, 436 W. Church Street, Batesburg, SC 29006. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Sheppard passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025. Born in Batesburg, he was a son of the late Robert Lewis and Donnelle Taylor Sheppard. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Batesburg, owner and operator of Sheppard’s Construction, and served in the SC National Guard.

Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Fallaw Sheppard; daughter, Kelly Fowler (Travis Owens); son, Kevin Wayne Sheppard; brothers, Leslie Sheppard (Brenda) and Alan Sheppard (Cathy); grandchildren, Drew Miller, Haleigh Fowler, Trayson Fowler, and Rainy Sheppard; 3 great-grandchildren.
