Wayne Harold Condrey

Wayne Harold Condrey, 77, of Gaston, SC, passed away peacefully at home on November 2, 2025. He was born on August 28, 1948, in Marion, NC, to the late William Burgess Condrey and Florence Bennett Condrey.

Wayne was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who lived life with passion and purpose. He built a successful career as a business owner in the construction industry, where he was a pioneer in directional drilling. In retirement, Wayne enjoyed striper fishing, spending time with his family, and sharing his days with his beloved wife and dog, Hadley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sherry Condrey; his daughters, Cindy Wise (Wade) and Tammy Hutto (Watson); his grandchildren, Morgan Fertick (Clayton) and Cameron Wisniewski (Bryan); and his great-grandson, Miles Fertick. He is also survived by his brothers, Fred Condrey and Clyde Condrey Sr.; his sister, Shirley Odel; and many nieces and nephews.

Wayne was predeceased by his parents; his brothers, William “Bill” Condrey and Jerry Condrey; and his sisters, Dorcas “Dot” Lyles, Betty Hockett, and Virginia Condrey.

Visitation and funeral services will be held on November 6th, 2025 at Barr-Price Funeral Home 609 Northwood Road, Lexington, SC 29072. The visitation will begin at 12:00 PM (Noon) and the service at 1:30 PM in the chapel with graveside to follow immediately afterwards at Southland Memorial Gardens 700 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170.
