Leesville-Services for William “Glenn” White, 76 will be conducted 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at Old Lexington Baptist Church with the Rev. Matthew Boyle and the Rev. Robert Culbertson officiating. The burial will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery, 2149 West Chester School Road, Chester, SC with Military Honors and the Rev. David Sealey. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 1791 Lowrys Highway Chester SC, 29706 or Old Lexington Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 800 Old Lexington Church Road Leesville, SC 29070. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Barr-Price Funeral Home Historic B-L Chapel and Crematorium. Mr. White passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 due to complications of exposure to Agent Orange. Born in Chester, he was the son of the late William J. and Florene White. He was a graduate of Chester High School and was a school bus driver. After graduation he served in the US Army and was stationed at Can Tho, Vietnam where he worked on the flight line. After returning home he worked with General Electric capacitor plant until he retired. He was a dedicated member of Old Lexington Baptist Church, where he worked the sound system, videos and pictures, was a member of the building and grounds committee. Surviving are his wife Libby White; a daughter Lisa White Ellinger (Tony) of Lake Greenwood; grandchildren Mackenzie Roberson (Brandon Wise) and Channing Roberson (Nicole); great grandchildren Jackman Wise and Alexis Marie Roberson.
