Vladimir Grigorovich Barva, born January 24, 1929 in Ukraine, went to his eternal home in Heaven on June 2, 2026.
Vladimir dedicated his life to the Lord at a young age. He served as a pastor in Ukraine. He designed and built a church building for his congregation, and also worked as a manager of photography studio to provide for his family. Vladimir moved to the United States in 2015 and lived with his youngest son in Blythewood, South Carolina.
Vladimir G. Barva is survived by his 7 children, 25 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Nadiya Barva, and parents Grygoriy and Evgeniya Barva.
Vladimir G. Barva remained committed to the Gospel throughout his life, leaving behind a legacy of faithfulness, love, and service to God and people.
A funeral service will be held for Vladimir on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Saluda River Baptist Church, located at 3459 Sunset Boulevard, West Columbia, South Carolina.
Following the service, a burial will take place at Celestial Memorial Gardens, 3111 Delree Street, West Columbia, South Carolina, at 1:00 p.m. All services are under the direction of Barr-Price Funeral Home (Lexington).
