Victor "Dickie" Oswalt Jr. Obituary

Victor "Dickie" Oswalt Jr, 57, died on February 4, 2026 in his sleep, losing his battle with cancer. He was a devoted husband and was a great father. Dickie loved Football, watching wrestling with his son, grilling, and going to the mountains to camp out with his family. Dickie also loved working around the house even in his final days he was trying to pick up and make sure things were in order. He is truly loved and will be missed by many.

Dickie was born in Columbia, South Carolina in 1969 to his father Victor F. Oswalt and his mother, Sandra M. Oswalt. Dickie graduated from Batesburg-Leesville High School. He then started working at JB Martin, after that he started his career at Asbill Electric Service.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Steven Madden, Hailey Taylor NP, Stephine Gentile with Lexington Oncology, Andrea Fisher, Sam, Will and Hollis Coker and the SC Pole and Piling family. As well as Aunt Cynthia Thompson for all the special care during his illness.

Dickie is survived by his wife Charlene Oswalt, son Dalton Oswalt (Evelin), Molly and Stella the family dogs (his baby girls), parents, Victor and Sandra Oswalt, father-in-law, Charles (Ted) Lawson, mother-in-law, Karen C. Lawson, Cousin (Big Sister) Shirley Price (Russell).
