Vernon "Randy" Morris Jr, 47, of Gaston, SC, passed away on May 05, 2022, suddenly and unexpectedly. He was born August 21, 1974, to Vernon Morris, Sr. and Marie Denise Tanner in Columbia, SC.
Randy is survived by his best friend, Dallas; his wife, Andrea Morris of Gaston; daughters, Amber (Joey) of Gaston, Ashley (Israel) of Gaston; bonus children, Caitlyn, Michael, Hailey and Sharon; grandchildren, Morgan, Leighlynn, Riley and Jaxon; sisters, Melissa, Hope, and Tabitha; his former wife, Kimberly Harris; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Bill and Becky Morris; his mother, Denise Tanner; his father, Vernon Morris Sr.; and his brother-in-law, James "Chris" Smith.
Randy was a very hard worker. He began working as a teenager with his grandfather, Bill Morris, in construction and refurbing as well as working many faithful years in the towing industry. When he wasn't doing that you could often find him helping friends and family with odd jobs. Randy was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Amber and Ashley and his grandchildren, always trying his best to support them. Randy was passionate about being a father and a "pop-pop" and could often be found helping around his daughters’ homes and sneaking junk food to his grandchildren. Anyone who knew Randy knew how proud he was to be a father and a "pop pop". Randy was also a die-hard Clemson and Dallas Cowboys Fan.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 13th, 2022, from 6pm-8pm at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. The family requests that any flowers or notes be delivered to the funeral home.
