Tracy Haley Obituary

Tracy Emerson Haley, 83, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020 after a brief illness. Tracy was born September 2, 1937 in Newberry, South Carolina to Reuben and Jessie Haley. Tracy was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, believer in Jesus Christ, avid golfer and a great story teller. He retired after working in retail management for 35 years, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force and Army Reserves where he served from 1955 - 1962. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene for 30 years where he served as an usher, a board member, and was a member of the Circle of Friends Sunday School class. He had been a member of Country Club of Lexington for nearly 50 years.

Tracy is survived by his wife, Carolyn Haley; son, Michael Haley (Tanya); daughter, Alyssa Haley; grandson, Bailey Hoogenboom; brother, Steve Haley (Thelma); sisters, Sylvia Kirkland and Gwen Catoe; sister-in-law, Barbara Haley; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Sylvester Haley and Charles Haley.

A memorial service will be held at Columbia First Church of the Nazarene on Sunday, September 6, at 2:00 p.m. Social distancing practices will be followed and all guests are required to wear a mask. 

An interment service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in Fort Jackson.
