Tommy A. Polatty

Mr. Tommy A. Polatty, 74, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2026. He was born on March 29, 1951 in Greenwood, South Carolina to the late Thomas and Alice Sease Polatty. Tommy was a production operator at Michelin Tire where he received an award for 35 years of perfect attendance. He attended Steadman Baptist Church and was an honorary member. Tommy was also a 1970 graduate of Saluda High School and 1972 graduate of Piedmont Technical College.

He is survived by his children, Chad Polatty (Brandi) and Lisa Donahue (Rick); brother, W. Pickens Polatty (Peggy); grandchildren, Noah Polatty, Jonah Polatty, and Mason Donahue; Tommy was predeceased by his loving wife, Audrey Polatty.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Friday, March 13, 2026 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel with Pastor Neal Smith officiating. Entombment will follow at Christ the Good Shepherd Mausoleum - Ridge Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Serving active pallbearers will be Andrew Polatty, Caleb Polatty, Chris McGee, Matt Rivers, Roy Donahue, and Daniel Lybrand. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Crew 1 at Michelin Tire. In lieu of flowers the family asks memorials to be made to CureSZ at 675 Deis Dr. Suite N Box 192 Fairfield, Ohio 45014.
