Thomas "Tommy" D. Edwards, Jr.

Funeral service for Tommy Edwards will be conducted 5:00 P.M. Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel with burial to follow at Ridge Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 3:30 to 5:00 P.M. prior to the service.

 Mr. Edwards passed peacefully into his heavenly home on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the age of 80. A lifelong resident of Batesburg, Thomas Dellman Edwards, Jr. was the son of the late Thomas D. Edwards, Sr., and Virginia Scott Edwards Horne (Ernest).

Tommy was a well-known and respected member of the B-L community who never met a stranger. He worked at Burlington Industries for more than 20 years, was a member of First Baptist Church of Batesburg, and was also the owner and founder of Edwards Signs and Graphics. Tommy and his wife were longtime members of the Four Seasons Dance Club as well. Always willing to lend a helping hand, he coached little league baseball for several years and retired from both the fire department and rescue squad. Tommy enjoyed hunting and fishing and shared his love of the outdoors with his sons.

Tommy is survived by his wife- Judy, sons- Thomas (Aly) and Paul (Stephanie), a sister- Carole Hair (Pick), and two grandchildren- Laney and Donnie.
