Theresa Jean Bartley

Theresa Jean Bartley, born on August 18, 1942 in Chatham County, GA, passed away on July 30, 2025. Her life's journey took her from her birthplace of Chatham  County, GA, to her longtime home in Cayce, SC.

Theresa was a woman of extraordinary grace, a dedicated secretary at the University of South Carolina (USC) before her well-deserved retirement. She was a quiet force and an anchor, her dedication to her work mirrored in her commitment to her family and friends.

Theresa was a beloved sister to Avis Reinhardt, and they shared a bond of love and companionship that defied distance and time; she is also survived by her daughters, Julie Cubine and Denise Baker; and her cherished niece, Jamie Reinhardt, who loved her with all of her heart. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Richard and Genorma Johnson; and her husband, James "Jim" Bartley.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday August 12, 2025 at Celestial Memorial Gardens. Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.
