A Celebration of Life for Theodore F. Potts, 85, will be held 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Redemption-Columbia; 5630 Platt Springs Road, Lexington, SC 29073. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Agape Hospice House.
Mr. Potts passed away August 3, 2018. Born in West Union, Ohio, he was the son of the late Hyle and Edith Robe Potts. Mr. Potts served in the US Army during the Korean War. He also served the Clinton Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees in Wilmington, Ohio. Mr. Potts worked for DP&L, retiring after 37 years. He was a member of Local 175, UWUA in Dayton Ohio where he held numerous positions including President. He continued his career as a bus driver for 15 years at Lexington School District 1 and was a board member and coach for Lexington Dixie Youth Baseball.
He is survived by his sons, Mark Potts, Michael Thomas, Andy Potts (Brittany), and Adam Potts (April); daughters, Rebecca Rushing, Robin Harden, and Sarah Metts (Justin); 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Rachel McKinney.
