Stephen (Steve) Hugh Holleman, of Chapin, SC, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025.
Steve was born July 14, 1950, in Macon, GA. He was a graduate of Eau Claire High School and the University of South Carolina, and he spent many years as a manufacturing engineer.
He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife of 52 years, Linda, and he was always proud of his children and their accomplishments. Steve adored his granddaughters, to whom he has always been affectionately known as, “Grandfather.” In addition to his family, he loved fishing, reading, cooking, music, and the mountains.
Steve was predeceased by his mother and father, Ernest Hugh and Juanita “Nita” Holleman, and his mother and father-in-law, Doris and Nathan Davis, who loved him as if he was their own son.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Davis Holleman, children Amy (Peter Goodwin) Holleman and Nathan (Angie) Holleman, granddaughters, Olivia, Mallory, Samantha, and Corrine Holleman, brothers Leslie (Tipsy) Holleman and Bruce (Shirley) Holleman, four nieces, and his four-legged companion, Henry
A celebration of life service, with visitation immediately following, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Chapin Presbyterian Church located at 600 Old Lexington Highway, Chapin, SC 29036.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in his memory to Unity Church of Lake Murray or Chapin’s We Care Center (We Care Center Community Outreach - Chapin We Care | Chapin, SC).
The family would like to thank the Lexington County firefighters and EMTs, as well as the Prisma Baptist emergency department team for their care and efforts.
