Stacy Tvarkunas Auvil
Gone far too soon, Stacy Tvarkunas Auvil of Cayce, SC, age 46, entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 6, 2019, peacefully succumbing in her sleep from cardiac arrest brought on by years of sleep apnea. Known by all as a giver, her donated organs continue to give the most generous gift of life to donor recipients.
Born on May 13, 1972, Stacy Tvarkunas grew up in Glenelg, Maryland, and attended Glenelg High School. A 1994 graduate of Towson University, she majored in Psychology. In 2003, she settled into marriage with Brantley Auvil, giving new life to Madeline (2005) and Matthew (2013) as time passed. An introvert at heart, she enjoyed the quiet ease of small-town community life in Cayce and the intimate friendships it brought. Her dedicated mothering instinct led her to invest many years into teaching at Trinity Baptist Weekday Preschool. As her family grew, she sought out a bilingual education at East Point Academy where she was an active volunteer, engaged advocate for her children, and dear friend to many for 8 years. She also ensured Matthew and Madeline were well-rounded with activities such as Girl Scout Troop 2288, Archery and the SeaMonkeys Summer Swim Team at Edenwood.
We are fortunate to have learned many life lessons from Stacy, among them: be your child’s most loyal and vocal advocate; true kindness isn’t found in ideals but in action; small acts of love done daily will make a Grand Canyon sized impact; and when the gift of life is no longer yours to keep, give it to someone else.
Stacy is survived by husband Brantley, daughter Madeline, son Matthew, sister Lori Bridges, brother Patrick Tvarkunas, parents Dianne and Tony Tvarkunas, and a wide community of friends who all deeply mourn her absence.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the generous outpouring of love by so many. Those who are touched by the loss of this truly good and kind mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend, may join us in celebrating her life on Saturday afternoon, January 12, at Trinity Baptist Church of Cayce. The family will receive guests from 4:00 - 5:00 pm with the memorial service and fellowship to immediately follow until 7:00 pm.
