It is with inconsolable sorrow that we announce the passing of Shoyl Woody Price, 50, who passed away on March 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Shoyl was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of so many through her love, strength, and unwavering support. She was the kind of person who always put others before herself, no matter the cost, and gave freely of her heart to everyone around her. She was a source of comfort, love, and friendship to so many, and her presence will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Ray Price; her children, Allie Lorene Price and Jacob Brandon Lee, Haylei Noel Phillips and Terry Dean Phillips Jr, Terry Ray Price II and Sydney Jordan Tokar, Justin Blake Price, Lane Howard Price, Catlyn Virginia Price, and Beau Levi Price; and her grandson, Mason William Price. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia Arlene Woody and Thomas Howard Woody. After a sudden and devastating decline in her health, Shoyl passed peacefully with her family by her side. Though her time with us feels far too short, the love she gave and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of her family forever.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel with the Rev. Peter Morey officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. For those who would like to support the grieving family, a GoFundMe has been created to help with funeral expenses, medical bills, and to support her husband and the children still in his care: https://gofund.me/d90a28082
Shoyl will be forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered.
