Services for Shirley Boone Kneece, 80, will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday January 19, 2015 at Florence Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday January 18, 2015 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. Pall Bearers will be Doug Berry, Laverne Berry, Laken Berry, Jimmie Lucas, Darryl Carey, Ken Carey, Jr., Luther Kneece, and David Kneece. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Florence Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
Mrs. Kneece went to be with her Lord January 16, 2015. Born in Pelion, she was the daughter of the late Jewell and Sue Boone. She was a graduate of Pelion High School where she met her husband of 62 years, Delano R. Kneece. She enjoyed her time spent with her family, collecting new recipes, and cooking. She was well known by every church member for her greetings and hugs. She was known for her beautiful yards and her untouchable faith. She truly lived a blessed life.
She is survived by her husband, Delano R. Kneece, daughters, Wanda Kneece Williamson (Jerry), Janet Kneece Smith (Eddie), son, Ricky D. Kneece (Roxanne), grandchildren, Jackie Delano "JD" Kneece, Cyril Kain Kneece (Kimberly), Jerry Evan Williamson, Laura Faye Williamson Hoover (Ryan), and Gary Matthew Williamson (Kayla), great-grandchildren, Clayton Jerry Williamson, Karlee Christine Kneece, and Sullivan Gage Garrick, sisters, Alice Faye Boone Lucas, and Linda Sue Boone Carey, bothers, Luther Garner Boone, and Jewell Metz "JM" Boone, Jr.
She was predeceased by her sister, Sylvia Elaine Boone Berry, and a grandson, David Carl Williamson.
