Cayce-A memorial service for Sharon S. Martin will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday July 30th, 2021 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel with the Rev. Charles Coleman officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home. A private burial at Fort Jackson National Cemetery will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Kemo Program 7 Richland Medical Park Dr. Suite 7215 Columbia, SC 29203 and In memory of her son Jason to SCOA Cares (South Carolina Oncology Associates).
Sharon passed away on Tuesday, July 27th 2021. She was born on February 3rd, 1958 in Columbia, SC to Eli and Edna Snelgrove. She attended Midlands Technical College and was employed by her husband, Robert C. Christian as office manager.
Sharon was passionate about gardening and always seeking the newest flower. She and her sister, Peggy enjoyed shopping at the outlet stores. Sharon also enjoyed spending time with family, especially always providing the perfect chocolate desserts for family gatherings. She loved to seek the perfect gift for each and every person she came in contact with.
Sharon cherished the times she spent with her grandbabies and great-grands at the movies and their adventures together at Frankie’s Fun Park, Build a Bear, and painting pottery. They made extra special trips to the zoo together. She loved being “Nanny” and spent many gatherings with her siblings, nieces and nephews at numerous dinner outings, visiting the State Museum, beach trips, and their traditional memories of lights at the zoo.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Robert C. Christian; step-daughter, Cathi A. Seyle (Rick); grandchildren, Kristen Wilson (Shane), Stephanie Watts (Kyle), and Tradd Seyle; great-grandchildren, Trent Wilson, Lilly, Luke, and Liam Watts; siblings, Norman E. Snelgrove (Pam), Peggy Snelgrove and Jeff Snelgrove (Kim); and aunt, Mary Kerbs. Sharon was a beloved aunt to Katrina Thompson (Kevin), Sam Snelgrove (Haley Rose), Anna Binion (Daniel), and Amber Snelgrove; great-nieces, Savannah and Juliet Thompson; and numerous cousins, who she shares childhood memories with.
She was predeceased by her parents, Eli and Edna Snelgrove; and by her beloved son, Jason Martin.
Sharon was loved and adored by her family and will be greatly missed. We will treasure our memories forever!
