Scottie L Moore

Memorial service for Scottie “Scott” Lee Moore, 62, will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Christ Community Church with the Rev. Kent Suits officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to Christ Community Church, 144 E. Columbia Ave., Leesville SC 29070.  Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Moore passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026.  Born in Rutherfordton, NC, he was a son of the late Kennedy T. Moore and Penelope Ruth Goode Moore. He was a member of Christ Community Church and worked at the Bureau of Explosives with the American Associations of Railroads. Scott was a Navy Veteran, loved to travel, laugh, and the sharing and telling of stories.

Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Karin Moore, a sister, Terrie Granfor (Tommy), a brother, Kennedy T. Moore, and a large extended family.
