Sarah Margaret Duke Corley

January 11, 1938 – January 13, 2022

Born in Bainbridge, Georgia, Sarah was the daughter of Wesley Allen Duke and Margaret Thompson Duke. She was married to the late Patrick Everett Corley, Sr. and is survived by four sons, Patrick Everett Corley Jr., Steven Duke Corley, Phillip Scott Corley and Christopher Thompson Corley; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Willis Jenkins Duke, Chester Allen Duke and B.L. “Buddy” Duke.

Sarah was a member of Lexington Baptist Church for almost 50 years where she was an active choir member for many of those years. She worked at Lexington Baptist Preschool as a teacher’s assistant for about 20 years.  She also worked at Anne Pitts CDC and Lexington Jewelers for Mr. Bruce Cook.

No funeral or memorial service is planned due to Covid 19. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a memorial is scheduled.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lexington Baptist Preschool or Lexington Baptist Church, 308 East Main St. Lexington, SC 29072.
