Sarah Lafaye "Faye" Pilot

Sarah Lafaye “Faye” Pilot, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 27th, 2026, at the age of 84.  A graveside service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, June 3rd, at Southland Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Willie Wilson officiating. Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family. 

Faye was a former resident of Opp, Alabama and spent most of her adult life in the Columbia, South Carolina area.  She was an active member of Oakwood Baptist Church and Laurel Baptist Church.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Sintel Kirkland; her siblings, Warren Kirkland and Glenda Carroll; her daughter, April Pilot; and her friend, Wyman Sharpe.  

Faye is survived by two sons, Ron Franklin and Scott Franklin; grandchildren Hannah, Dakota, Blake, Rusty, Bryan and Randy; and great-grandchildren Sarah, Collin, Luke, Molly, Norah, Natalie, and Naomi.  

She leaves behind a legacy of hope, kindness and servitude to the Lord.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your local church’s mission fund in Faye’s honor.
