S.J. Price

Funeral service for Simeon Jacob "SJ" Price, 82 will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2025, at Rehoboth Methodist Church of Lake Murray with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rehoboth Methodist Church of Lake Murray, Cemetery Fund, 3676 Holley Ferry Road, Leesville, SC 29070.

SJ passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on Thursday, May 15, 2025. He was born in West Columbia and was the son of the late Monroe and Rose Harmon Price. He was a member of Rehoboth Methodist Church of Lake Murray, a member of the men's club, and an Army veteran.  After he returned from Germany, he went to work for West Electric of Newberry, where he retired after 41 years.  He enjoyed being with his family, gardening, helping people when he could, and traveling with the Cedar Grove Travel Group.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Eula Price, his daughter Angela (Ted) Hite, his son Eric(Karen) Price, his grandchildren Corby and Allisa Hite, Kadence, Harmony, Lirann Price,  great-grand daughter Rosetta Doubrava, his sister Sylvia (Robby) Mims, brothers Carroll (Linda) Price and Harmon (Peggy) Price.
