Obituary

Rudy V. DiPietro, son of the late Rudy and Italia DiPietro, passed away peacefully at home on May 11, 2023. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 16, 1939.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; children, Susan (Paul) Mohacey, Tracy DiPietro, Jeff (Marti) DiPietro; sister, Addie French; step daughter, Sharon Turner; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Silvio DiPietro and grandson, Joel Harrar.

Rudy served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1956-1959. Upon discharge he worked in the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard while attending LaSalle University. After graduation he worked at Fisher and Porter designing and installing computer systems. During his career he held other engineering positions and retired from the Columbia Post Office.

Funeral services will be held at New Hope Lutheran Church, 1725 Old Tamar Road, Irmo, SC on May 20, 2023 at 11:00 am. Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to New Hope Lutheran Church or the charity of one’s choice.
