Rose E Black

Services for Rosalina “Rose” Black, 66, will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at First Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Mendle Baker officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Those attending are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines and COVID-19 protocols. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel. Memorials may be made to First Calvary Baptist Church, 2320 Cedar Grove Rd., Leesville SC 29070. 

Mrs. Black passed away peacefully Thursday, October 8, 2020.  Born in Hinabuyan, Philippines, she was a daughter of the late Modesto and Tiburcia Caingin Esmero.  She was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church and was a waitress at Shealy’s Bar-b-que for over 30 years.

Surviving are her daughters, Kena Rose Black and Karen Black; brother, Venerando Esmero; sisters, Melinda Solano, Antonieta Culas, and Ethelda Dagandan and her four legged companions, Queenie and Milo. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward H. “Red” Black, brother, Pacifico Esmero, and a sister, Dolores Arsenal
