Rosa (Scroggins) Moon

Columbia - Rosa S. Moon, 85, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020. Born in Covington, TN, she was the daughter of the late Nat and Ada Fletcher Scroggins. She retired as a monitor with the State Government. Rosa was a fun loving, witty individual. She loved to engage in meaningful conversations and share her different perspectives on many subjects. She was a very generous lady, that never met a stranger, and many she encountered became her life-long friends. Rosa was revered for her sharp memory, and was known as the ‘family historian.’

She is survived by her son, James Moon (Kim); daughter, Joan Moon; and grandchildren, Devin Moon and Megan Stout.

She was predeceased by her grandson, Riley Moon; 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Rosa will be held at Bethel United Methodist Church in Columbia, at a later date. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
