Ronnie M. Swygert

Mr. Ronnie M. Swygert, 74, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2025. Born in Lexington, South Carolina he was the son of the late Marvin Aldophus and Claudia Oswalt Swygert. Ronnie attended Old Lexington Baptist Church, was a member of Saluda Masonic Lodge #103 and a Shriner. He retired after 50 years of service as an instructor from Lexington Technology Center, Greenwood Tech and I-CAR.

Surviving are his wife, Melody Temples Swygert; sister, Cheryl S Ballentine (David); sisters-in-law, Terry Temples and Melissa Cook; brother-in-law, Jody Temples; mother-in-law, Merle Temples, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Beverly Price.

The funeral service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel with the Rev. George Koon officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday August 30, 2025 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
