Roberta J. Horton Obituary

Roberta J (Fitzsimmons) Horton, 87, of Utica, NY, passed away at her home on Monday, April 18, 2022. Roberta spent most of her life in Remsen, NY before relocating to Columbia, SC in 1997 after the passing of her beloved husband, Eugene Horton. She had a love for animals, helping any and all anyway she could. Her family was important to her. She loved spending as much time with them as possible. She will be missed.

Roberta is survived by her loving children Cindy Richard (Jean Paul) of Nîmes, France, Darlene Koppes of Garade, PA, Sue Santilli (Papo Zayas) of Utica, NY, and Edwin Horton (Beverly St. George) of Columbia, SC; 7 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her two brothers, Bob Fitzsimmons (Kitty) and Dick Fitzsimmons (Rose); and her sister, Mary Clary.

She will be cremated in South Carolina and laid to rest at The Prospect Cemetery in Prospect, NY, joining her sister, Mary Clary. There will be no service. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
