It is with sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr. Robert Membrey (Rob) Pachak, 75, of Columbia. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Rob was a graduate of Dreher High School. He was a member of the cross country track team and was a member of the band and could play both clarinet and saxophone. He attended the University of South Carolina for his undergraduate and law school. He worked for Safety Equipment Company and later as a lawyer for the Appellate Court (SCCID). He was a model car hobbyist and a furniture woodworker. He enjoyed the mountains especially the Blowing Rock, N.C. area, where he had a vacation home for many years.

Rob was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Raymond Elam and Robert and Gray Pachak, and a nephew, Matthew Elam.

He is survived by his brothers, John Pachak, Mark Elam (Mary), and Rick Elam (Teresa); sister, Karen Elam; stepbrother, Michael Pachak; stepsister, Robin Pachak; and two nephews, Vee Elam and Mark Elam.
