Richard “Ricky” Wayne Neese Sr., affectionately known as Ricky, passed away on February 20, 2026. Born in Columbia, SC, on July 15, 1965, he lived a full and joyous life in Swansea, South Carolina, for 60 years.
Mr. Neese learned the trade of painting at an early age from his predeceased grandfather, Doyle Chavis. Ricky often referred to his self as a professional protective covering applicator. He enjoyed many things like fishing, hunting and grilling outdoors with his family and friends. He loved more than anything. There was always music playing. He was a beloved father, son and husband. He was always the first one to call his family and friends on their birthdays, never leaving anyone out
He was predeceased by his grandfather, Doyle; and grandmother, Vaunceil W. Chavis; and his father, Larry Neese.
He was survived by his wife, Sandra Spires Neese; mother, Patricia Ann Neese; his daughter, Nicole Neese-Vance (Calvin Vance); son, Wayne Neese (Erika Neese); step-son, Adam Dykes; step-brother, Brian Lucas (Faree Ann Lucas); cousins, Robert and Don Neese; and special friends, Barbara Wise and Darlene DeSpan (Shawn). There's 5 grandchildren that were the light of his life.
