Richard Lee Yancey

Richard Lee Yancey, 69, was born in Augusta Georgia on August 24, 1951 to the late Johnnie Cecil Yancey and Beatrice Cope Yancey of Barnwell, SC. Richard went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 21, 2021.
He was a graduate of Limestone College and retired from Linder Machinery as General Manager. Family came first for Richard, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved coaching little league baseball, gardening, yard work, going to the beach and watching sports. He was dedicated to his church, Trinity Baptist where he served on numerous committees, worked in the nursery and enjoyed greeting members and guests. His loving demeanor, open arms and sincere compassion made everyone feel welcome. He was loved by everyone who had the honor of meeting and knowing him. He will be greatly missed by all.
Richard’s greatest joy and his most proud accomplishment was the love of his life, his wife Doris.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 48 years Doris Yancey, his son Todd Yancey and loving grandsons Will and Cole Yancey.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Trinity Baptist Church in Cayce, SC. Memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church
