Reverend Franklin Hampton Wingard

Reverend Frank Wingard gained his heavenly home on Sunday morning, May 25, 2025. He was born on July 23, 1936 in Lexington County, SC to Arilla and Benny Wingard. Frank was raised by Claud and Carrie Waits. He was married to Vivian Neese and later to Gloria Sawyer.

Frank is survived by four grandchildren, numerous great grands, one great-great grandchild and his companions ("girls"), Tippi and Maci.

Reverend Frank was a very dedicated member and deacon at Abundant Life Assembly in West Columbia, SC. He was loved by all who knew him and his memory will be cherished forever. He loved his Lord and Savior and prayed that all would come to the knowledge of Christ Jesus as he had. Frank loved his family dearly with a kind heart and forgiving spirit. He easily made friends with all that he met.

Frank was predeceased by his daughter, Traci Lang, and his son, Franklin H. Wingard, Jr.

Special thanks to Marsha and Butch Germany who provided a home and care with great love. Frank called Marsha and Butch his daughter and son. They were faithful to the end.

Also, thanks to Lexington Extended Care staff, especially the nurses, etc. on Caughman Way. Frank's stay was peaceful and enjoyable with the excellent care given.

Services will be held at Abundant Life Assembly, 105 Lincoln Street, West Columbia, SC on Thursday, May 29, 2025. Visitation will be at 11:00 am with funeral service following at 12:00 pm. Jerry Flowers, Pastor, will officiate the service. Burial to follow at Lexington Memorial Cemetery, West Main Street, Lexington, SC.
