Rev. Dale Richard Mechling

Services for Rev. Dale R Mechling, 90, of Swansea, will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 16th, at Trinity Baptist Tabernacle of Gaston, with entombment at Southland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Rev. Mechling passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. He was born in Neoga, Illinois, February 2, 1930, to Clarence and Opal Emery Mechling.

Dale was married to his beautiful wife, Doris Jean Mechling, for over 67 years. He was a much beloved pastor and served faithfully in the ministry for over four decades. He set a wonderful example of love for God, his family, and his church. He will be greatly missed.

Surviving is his sister, Shirley Sugars; son, Richard Mechling; son & daughter-in-law, Roger & Cindy Mechling; daughter-in-law, Joy Mechling; his seven grandchildren; and his twenty great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Mechling and his son, Randal Mechling.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Foundation Christian School, 1605 Old State Rd, Gaston, SC 29053. This school was loved by both Dale and Doris Mechling.

Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.
