Randy Baxley, 67 of Gaston, died at his home Sunday, May 30, 2021. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel.
Mr. Baxley was born December 13, 1953 in Laurinburg, NC to the late Thomas Devon and Mildred Louise Baxley. Randy was the owner of Baxley Trucking. He had a passion for trucking and was a great mechanic. Randy was a wonderful instructor and knew how to fix many things. He loved anything with a motor that was fast. Most of all, he loved his family tremendously.
Mr. Baxley is survived by his wife, Nicole Baxley; sons, Randy Devon Baxley (Leigha) of Woodstock, GA, Shane Lee Baxley (Nicol) of Gaston; daughter, Kasey Gwen Baxley Casper (Kyle) of Neese, SC; sisters, Carol Crawford (Ralph), Betty Ann Reese (Jimmy) and Linda Powell, all of Fayetville, NC; brother, Larry Baxley (Tiffany) of West Columbia, SC; a best friend, like a brother, Terry Oakes (Tina) of Columbus, GA; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mark Boatright (Rebecca) of Gaston, SC; 14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Randy is predeceased by his sister, Brenda Chinn; brother, Thomas Devon Baxley, Jr.; daughter, Chasity Theon Cranford; and a great grandson, Jackson Scott Miler.
For the last 11 years, Randy was a prisoner in his own body. He suffered from COPD and congestive heart failure. He fought courageously to be with his family and friends. Randy has finally won the battle and is at peace in the arms of our Lord and Savior.
