Randy David Miles

Funeral service for Randy David Miles, 62, will be held at 12:00 pm (Noon), Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. Burial will follow at Fort Jackson National Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Cedar Creek Cowboy Church 3152 Augusta Hwy. Gilbert, SC 29054.

Mr. Miles passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Born in Richland County, he was the son of E. Delores Miles and the late E. David Miles, Jr.  He was a retired fireman from McEntire AFB Fire Department and from the Air National Guard. Mr. Miles was employed by Barr-Price Funeral Home as a Funeral Assistant and was commonly known as “Dude.” He was a member of Cedar Creek Cowboy Church where he played the guitar with the church band.  

Surviving include his wife of 45 years, Dianne Furtick Miles; daughters, Marisa M. (Jared) Ellison and Miranda M. (Daniel) Smith; 4 grandchildren, Noah Ellison “little buddy”, Lily Ellison “short cake,” Luke Smith “Mr. G,” and Sophia Smith “chicken nugget;” sister, Lisa M. Bryant; niece, Kelly (Frankie) Howell; and great-niece, Leila Howell.

He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Andy Jack Bryant.
