Ralph William Vosburgh, Jr., born on January 24, 1953, in Orangeburg, SC, ran into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 4, 2025. Ralph was a man of great faith, generosity, warmth, intelligence, and integrity. He touched countless lives with his kindness, good humor, and unwavering service to his community.
Ralph was a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina. He traveled internationally in sales for several years before dedicating his life to public service with the State of SC, Lexington County, and most recently Newberry County.
Ralph was a respected appraiser, serving the government with diligence and commitment. His work was not merely an occupation; it was a testament to his love for his community and his desire to make a positive impact. He was a man who believed in the importance of fairness and accuracy, and he brought these principles to bear in his profession. Ralph's dedication to his vocation was matched only by his devotion to his family.
Over a span of twenty years, Ralph faithfully served at Mt. Horeb Church in many volunteer roles. He was most passionate about local missions, VBS, the education and growth of young pastors, and most recently, the launch of Columbia Gathering, an expansion of Mt. Horeb Church in downtown Columbia.
Ralph was predeceased by his father, Ralph Sr.; his mother, Winifred Ellen Loyd; his sister, Gwen Vosburgh Atwell (Jim); and a daughter, Gwendolyn Vosburgh Gibson (Max).
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Lisa S. Vosburgh; son, Ralph William Vosburgh III; daughter, Makala Jean Vosburgh; granddaughters, Emma, Leighann, Maggie, and Aurora; sisters, Nancy Vosburg and Gail Vosburg Sturtevant (Tom) and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 1:00pm at Mt. Horeb Church, 1205 Old Cherokee Road, Lexington, South Carolina, 29072. A celebration of life memorial service will follow at the same location at 2:00pm. All services are under the direction of Barr-Price Funeral Homes and Crematorium (Lexington).
