Lexington – “Popeye” Ellison Landon Williams, 79, of Lexington, SC passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. He was born in Fairview, SC to the late E. Harvey and Essie Williams.
Popeye loved hunting, wrenching cars and grilling out every chance he got. When he was younger, he loved racing cars. He worked as a metal fabricator for years before retiring. Popeye loved his family and was always there for his friends and family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Kathy Peele; daughter, Dana (Mike) Wideman; step-son, Chris (Crystal) Peele; sister, Janice “Bootsie” Sentersit; grandchildren, Madison Peele, Kellie “Cheri” Rish, Turner “Jep” Davis; great-grandchildren, Kadence, Sydney “Tuggie” and Sylar “Tank”.
Popeye was preceded in death by his siblings.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, 609 Northwood Road, Lexington, SC 29072.
