Phillip B. McLaughlin

Pelion-Phillip B. McLaughlin, 69, also known as “Dad” or “Pa,” passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021. He was born in Florence, South Carolina to his late father and mother, Lila Mae James. 

As people mature, many participate in more subtle and less labor intensive activities, but Phillip was the complete opposite. His days were spent outdoors and he was consistently productive. It is safe to say that he was far from idle and represented the definition of a hard worker.   

Phillip was reunited with his daughter, Lisa McLaughlin, who he was predeceased by. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Dorothy McLaughlin; those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Christina Wooten; grandchildren, Rachael, Zachary, Landon, Travis, and Laura; and brother in-laws, Albert Koch (Ann) and James Koch. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
