Peggy Williamson Fidler of Lexington, born August 18, 1938 in Beaufort, SC, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on October 17, 2021. She was the only child of Grady and Esther Williamson. She graduated from Beaufort High School in 1956 where she was active in student leadership, sports and cheerleading. After high school she attended the Medical University of South Carolina to study nursing. Upon graduation she married her high school sweetheart, Bill. She was a registered nurse specializing in Orthopedics throughout her career.
Peggy led by example as a Christian, devoted wife, amazing mother, and beloved grandmother. She was the center of a very close-knit family for which she found much pride. Her personality was contagious to everyone that spent time with her; she found joy in her friendships and was blessed with many. Peggy attended Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church (Lexington).
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Betsy and Tim Loonam of Lexington, SC; son, Sam Fidler of Atlanta, GA; and grandchildren, Jack Loonam and Katie Keefer.
She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Bill Fidler.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, October 21st, 10:30am at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church; 1205 Old Cherokee Rd., Lexington, SC 29072.
