Born in 1949, Paul David “Boy” Pilkington died Sunday, May 21, 2023, after a long battle with frontotemporal dementia. Retired from FN Manufacturing after 28 years, Paul was a member of the SC Air National Guard from 1970-1978, and he received a B.S. in business administration from Southern Wesleyan University. Paul was a loving soul whose many interests included the outdoors—hunting, hiking, and camping; history; and reading.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Brenda Lee Pilkington; daughters, Michelle Feaster (Todd) and Stacey Lanford (Louie); grandchildren, Jacob Feaster (Peyton), Jenna Feaster, Savannah Lanford, and Isabella Lanford; and sisters, Dayne Shealy and Joy Pilkington. Paul was predeceased by grandparents, Earl and Vivian Sox; parents, Paul and Dayne Pilkington; and in-laws, Gene and Joyce Lee.
Paul’s life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Bethany Lutheran Church, Lexington. Visitation will follow in the fellowship hall. Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.
A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Paul will be greatly missed. He was a gentle individual who lived life on his own terms.
